A Few Honest Caveats

This is not a weight-loss strategy on its own. The effect size is real but modest in isolation. Also worth knowing: people with diabetes see the largest measured effects in glucose control from food ordering, because their baseline glucose regulation is already compromised. If you don't have blood sugar issues, your response will still be real—the research shows it clearly in non-diabetic participants—just somewhat smaller in magnitude. Smaller doesn't mean not worth doing.
